Inauguration Day

I forgot that I had taken a picture of the quilt after all. Here it is ~ or was. It was my first try so kind of lame. The next one will be stupendous. As I mentioned, the "sleeve purse" idea seems to be turning into the "sleeve hat" idea. So far, the prototypes look extraordinarily goofy ~ but they're warm.

Used Books

They were all packed and ready to go. But then I saw this how-too-torial on wrapping books. So, I unpacked them and added some decorative book covers for you.

That's better!

Shrine

This is the picture you took of Ande's front window during one of my trips to GR, I don't remember which one. I like this one a lot. Life has been quiet in the tiny apt. (Well, except when girl girl upstairs entertains. Then it can get thumping loud). As far as the art goes, though it's been quiet. There are piles of paper and projects waiting to be re-started. It's January and I have three solid months to get ready for April. I wonder how that show will go.

Looking Toward the Future

New Years Day brings yet another holiday photo opportunity. This time from Gambrill State Park located outside Frederick. It's cold and clear up here. There are a smattering of cars parked in and around the park so there must be hikers on the trail. I don't feel like hiking today ~ I'm sure they'll be just fine without me. This park offers pretty spectacular views especially on the other side of the mountain. You have to hike to reach these spots and I plan on visiting all of them this spring and throughout the year.
